Guidelines for the new extended lockdown till 4th August

Whereas it has come to the notice of the State Government that there is spread of COVID-19 occurring in different parts of the state which has
posed a major threat to public health, hygiene and safety of the people;

AND Whereas it is also felt that unless stringent measures are put in place to contain the spread of the pandemic, there is chance of large scale spread of COVID- 19 in the population which is likely to cause loss of human lives.
Whereas “Total Lockdown’ was imposed vide order of even no. dated 25e July for the period from 5 AM af 27th July, 2020 to 30th July 2020 in order to meet the situation.
Whereas an intensive house to house survey was undertaken w.e.f. 27th July, 2020 to identify the affected and suspected persons and the survey work is still continuing.
Whereas on review of situation, it is felt that the total lock down needs to be continued to combat the situation and break the transmission chain of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
I, therefore, in the capacity of the Chairman of the State Executive Committee of Tripura State Disaster Management Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 22 {21 {h} of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 direct extension of “Total Lockdown” in entire area of the State of Tripura for the period from 5AM of 30th July, 2020 to 5 AM of 4th, August, 2020. The prohibited activities, exemptions and other details of the order of even no. dated 25th July, 2O2O will remain in force.

All the District Magistrate & Collectors shall strictly enforce the measures without any dilution. Any persons violating these measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal section Under Section 188 of I.P.C, and other legal provisions as applicable.
